SLAT 2019 – Result of  SLAT 2019 has been released. Candidates can check the result from the official website. Through Symbiosis Law Entrance Test 2019, candidates can take admission in any of the Symbiosis law schools (SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad). Candidates will be tested on the basis of their knowledge of Legal reasoning, Analytical reasoning, General Knowledge and reading comprehension. SLAT 2019

In contrast to the previous year’s, Symbiosis International deemed university used to conduct the common entrance test, SET. However,  from last year, there has been a change and now the Symbiosis Law From last year, the SIU conducts the common entrance test for law courses, SLAT. The Symbiosis college Pune, Hyderabad and Noida accept the candidate’s SLAT score to give admissions to the Undergraduate courses. SLAT 2019 Registration Fee

To complete registration, it is important that the candidates pay the application fee. The application fee for SLAT 2019 is explained below.

Application fee amount: Rs 1750/-

Per Programme Payment: Rs 1000/-. This is the amount that the candidates have to pay for every selected programme.

How to apply for SLAT 2019

Students who want to take admissions in the undergraduate LLB courses can follow the below steps to register online and submit the application. Make sure that you apply immediately after the application form is released by Symbiosis University.

1. Online Registration

First, the students will have to visit the official website and do the registrations. Also, the students must note that the SLAT 2019 exam is conducted in the morning session only and thus, they must register for the same session only.

2. Upload Your Passport Sized Photograph 

Now the students will have to upload the passport sized photograph. The photograph has to be uploaded at the time of registering online.

3. Fill the Application Form 

Students will now be required to fill the important details in the application form. The important details that have to be mentioned in the application form are as follows

  • Students personal details.
  • The educational details of the student
  • The contact details of the candidate.

4. Pay the Application Fee in the “Make Payment Tab”

Now, the students will be required to pay the application fee. The application fee for SLAT 2019 – Rs 1750/

The above application fee can be paid via the following 3 modes

  1. Billdesk Gateway
  2. Indian Bank Gateway
  3. Demand Draft.

5. Complete the Part – 2 of registration

Now the students will have to complete part 2 of the registration procedure. In this step, the students will have to select the programme they want to study and also the institute where they want to take admission.

6. Pay the registration part -2 Fee 

Now the students will be required to pay the part 2 registration fee. This fee is for the selection of courses. The students will have to pay a separate now refundable fee on per programme per institute basis. Thus

Note: The students must make sure that they pay the application fee before the last date.

Finally, after filling the application form with the required details, the students can submit the application form.

SLAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to match the below eligibility criteria to appear for SLAT 2019 exam. Just appearing for the SLAT 2019 Exam does not guarantee admission; students must check the below eligibility criteria laid down by symbiosis international university.

  • Students are required to have completed 10+2 level of education.
  • Students should have completed the above level of education from a recognized board of institution only.
  • Candidates need to have a score of at least 45% in the qualifying exam.
  • For the scheduled caste/ Schedule tribe candidates the minimum marks for admissions are 40%.
  • The students who have completed their 10th education from any institution outside India and 12th standard in India to appear for the exam.
  • The OCI/PIO candidates and the foreign nationals who want to study the undergraduate Law courses don’t need to appear for the exam. Their admission can be done through the Symbiosis Center for International Education.

Legal Reasoning:

The legal reasoning questions are the one in which the students are given a certain set of options based on a given situation and they have to select the most appropriate one. The students will be given a legal situation which may or may not have a direct relation to the real-life scenarios. Students have to apply the legal skills and knowledge to choose the right option.

Example Question: Agni enters into a contract with Tanuj whereby Tanuj will supply Agni with 10 grams of cocaine for a specified amount. Is the contract void?


  • Yes, because drugs are dangerous for health
  • Yes, since the contract is for the sale of illegal drugs
  • No, since Agni and Tanuj entered into the contract out of their own free will, and since they are a citizen of a free country, they can do what they want.
  • None of these.

Analytical Reasoning: The analytical reasoning question does not require the student to have any set of specific knowledge. Students just have to apply the logic coupled with reasoning skills. The analytical reasoning questions can be verbal or nonverbal. Some of the common topics of the analytical reasoning sections are as follow

  1. Analogies.
  2. Data Sufficiency.
  3. Statement and Conclusions
  4. Coding Decoding
  5. Series
  6. Blood Relation
  7. Odd One Out

General Knowledge: The General Knowledge section will focus on the questions that check the student’s general awareness. The important topics that can be asked in the SLAT 2019 exam are as follows

  3. Major developments in the areas of sports, geopolitics together with important environmental agreements
  4. Current affairs
  5. Eminent personalities
  6. Sports
  7. Awards and honors

SLAT 2019 Exam Pattern

SLAT 2019 exam will be conducted in the morning session only. The students will be given 5 sections in the SLAT 2019 exam. A total of 150 objective type questions will be divided equally into these sections (30 questions per section). The students will be given 150 minutes to complete the exam. For every correct answer, you will get a +1 mark.

Negative Marking – The students must note that there is no provision of negative marking in the SLAT 2019 exam. Thus, students can confidently attempt all the questions.

SLAT 2019 Application form

The students have to complete the online registration for the SLAT 2019 on the official website. The students must make sure that they fill the correct details in the application form. At the time of registering online, the students will also have to upload a passport sized photograph. While doing so, make sure that the photograph is not more than 3 months old.

Registration Fee: Following the above step, the students will have to pay the registration fee. Students will have to pay the registration fee twice. First, they have to pay the application form fee and next they have to pay the fee to choose the course they want to study as well as the institute they want to take admissions in.

SLAT 2019 Admit Card

The SLAT 2019 admit card has been released on the official website. Students must not forget to carry the admit card to the exam hall. Students must note that they should print the admit card in color only. Black and white admit cards will not be treated as valid. Students will have to reach the exam hall in the morning session only. Along with the admit card, the students will also have to carry one identity proof such as the Passport Driving license, Voter ID Card or Pan Card, etc must be bought in the exam centre.

SLAT 2019 Results

The results for SLAT 2019 has been declared on the official website. The results lead to the generation of the merit list that shall determine the admission of the candidates in various courses offered by the 3 law schools. The students can check the results by entering their login ID and password. The students must make sure that they take at least 2 printouts of the result.

SLAT 2019 Cut off

The students are informed that the category wise merit list shall be uploaded on the official website. However, the waiting list will depend upon the number of vacancies at the chosen institute

SLAT Seat Reservation

Those students who want reservation must provide in writing the proofs of his/her reservation. Students who will apply through the PWD category means that the candidate has some sort of disability in his body
