LET 2018 – The Army Institute of Law (AIL) was established in July 1999 by the Indian Army under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). This institution is located in Patiala and is affiliated to the Punjabi University. Its main objective is to impart high-quality legal education through its Law courses. The AIL conducts the entrance examination every year for the admission of the students into its Law courses. The institute ensures 100% placement for the students after the completion of the course. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programme in Law. It also provides the scholarships to the students during the course by awarding the cash price to the students who do well in the semesters. Army Institute of Law (AIL) Law Entrance Test (LET) 2018 released its application from May 27, 2018. Interested candidates can apply through the online procedure on the official website.
The AIL LET 2018 was on July 01, 2018. Every year number of students appear for this entrance examination. Interested can apply for the examination from the official website of the Army Institute of Law (AIL) at armyinstituteoflaw.org. The process to fill the application form is completely online process, there will be no offline mode. The Law Entrance Test for Army Institute of Law 2018 is only for the Wards of Army Personnel, Punjab Resident Civil Category, and All India Civil Category. While filing the application form of AIL LET 2018 candidates need to mention their category and they also have to submit the related documents at the time of the counselling to proof their eligibility of the concerned category.
It offers the five-year undergraduate course and One Year Postgraduate course in Law. Details of the courses are mentioned below:
B.A., LL.B (Five Year Course) BA LLB is a five year integrated programme in which institute impart knowledge about the laws subject and make them professional strong required to become a full-fledged responsible member of the legal profession.
LL.M (One Year Course) LLM is a one year integrated programme in which the students will get the depth of knowledge in the field of law with specializations. The student will be awarded the Post Graduate degree after the completion of the course.
Five (05) seats are vacant and will be filled on the basis merit of Entrance Test conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala. Candidates who are interested in admission are requested to register for admission to LL.M (1 Year Course). The registration form is available on the official website. As per the norms of the Punjabi University, candidates with minimum pass percentage of 55% marks in the BA LLB (5 years) or LLB (3 years) will be eligible to apply for the AIL LET LLM 2018.
Given below are the eligibility criteria for the for Wards of Army Personnel, All India Civil Category and Punjab Residents Civil Category. This will be same for the candidates applying for BA LLB O LLM programmes.
Wards of Army Personnel – Candidate applying in this category must be a Ward of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army.
Children of All India Civil Category other than Punjab Residents- Candidates applying under this category must be the citizen of India who intends to settle permanently in India and has obtained the citizenship before taking admission in AIL.
Children of Punjab Residents Civil Category– To claim the benefit under this category Candidate must mention in the application form that he or she belongs to the Punjab Residents Civil category. In this regard, candidate have to submit the required documents along with the application form.
Candidates desirous to apply for the AIL LET 2018 need to fill the application form AIL LET 2018. Candidates must read the eligibility norms as mentioned above before applying for the examination. The Admit card of the Law Entrance Test 2018 shall be released on June 28, 2018. AIL LET 2018 Admit card will be made available on the official website of AIL at ail.ac.in.
How to download admit card?
The hall ticket will only be available by entering the registration number and password in the space provided for that purpose. The hall ticket will be displayed on the screen. Download the admit card and take a printout of it and retain it till the admissions. Candidates must carry the admit card at the center of the examination on the day of the AIL LET 2018.
For only BA LLB Course
Given below is the examination pattern for the students who will apply for the BA LLB programme in AIL LET 2018. There will be four sections in the question paper and the questions will be based on the level of 12th standard. All the questions will be of objective type (Multiple Choice Questions). The paper will be in English language only with total 200 questions, each section containing 50 questions. There shall be ni negative marking.

The AIL LET 2018 Result has been declared on July 07, 2018 just after the one week of the commencement of the examination. Candidates can login to check the result from the official website of the Army Institute of Law at armyinstituteoflaw.org After visiting the website they need to click on the result section and should enter the registration number and roll number in the provided space. Now download the result and retain it till the admissions.
Note- If in case candidate forgot the details he/ she should click on the “Forgot Details” mentioned in the box and must enter the email ID. Through email ID the candidate will receive the details. For the convenience of the candidates given below is the image of Result login window.
The selection of the candidates to the Institute will be done on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination. After the declaration of the result of AIL LET 2018, first 100 candidates in order of merit will be of Army Category will be called for the seat allotment process to fill the 60 seats and 20 candidates in order of merit of All India Civil Category will be called to fill the 4 seats. Whereas, admission to the Punjab category students under All India Civil Category will be based on the merit of class 12th.
The seats are distributed among Wards of Army Personnel, Punjab Resident Civil Category, All India Civil Category. The Admission for the seats of Wards of Army Personnel and All India Civil Category will be done through the AIL Law Entrance Test 2018. While the admission for Punjab Resident Civil Category seats will be done on the basis of the 12th class merits. The seat distribution for the BA LLB Programme is as follows:
