ULSAT 2019

Banaras Hindu University will conduct BHU Law 2018 entrance exam for admission in LLB/BA LLB course. The duration of LLB and BA LLB course is 3 and 5 years respectively. All the candidates who are interested should check the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form. The entrance exam will be conducted on May 27, 2018 in two shifts. The entrance test for LLB course will be held from 08:00 am to 10:00 am and the test for BA LLB course will be held from 12:00 pm to 02:00 pm. All the candidates are advised that they should register themselves successfully and carry the admit card on the examination day without any fail. Along with the admit card, aadhar card of the candidate is also must to be carried on the examination day. The admit card will be available on the official site from one week before the date of entrance test. The direct links will also be povided here. BHU Law 2018 Eligibility Criteria

For LLB

Aspirant should not be more than 30 years on July 01, 2018 and the candidate should be born on or after July 01, 1988.

Candidates having degree B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com./ Shastri (at least 10+2+3 pattern) by securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet or has any other Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible for admission to the LLB Course by securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years.

For BA LLB

Candidate should not be more than 20 years on July 01, 2018 and the applicant should be born on or after July 01, 1998. This is the case for General Category applicants and for SC/ST and Backward Communities, he/she should not be 22 years on July 01, 2018 & should be born on or after July 01, 1996.

Candidates who have successfully completed or is appearing in Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course are eligible for admission to BA LLB course. The Minimum marks in qualifying examination should not be below than 50% of total marks in case of General category applicants, 45% in case of OBCs and 40% in case of SCs & STs applicant.

BHU Law 2018 Application Form

All the interested candidates can fill the application form online from the official website. The application form is also available in the entrance portal of BHU i.e. www.bhuonline.in. No offline mode is available to fill the application form. The application fee is Rs. 250 for SC/ST/PC candidates and Rs. 500 for rest of the candidates. If the candidate applies for more than one course, then for each applied subsequent course he/she has to pay extra fee i.e. Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PC Candidates and Rs. 200 for the rest of the candidates. The entrance fee can be paid through credit card, debit card or by e-challan. The application form will be treated as successfully submitted only after the payment of the application fees.

BHU Law 2018 Exam Pattern

For LLB

  • There will be one Paper of 120 minutes duration.
  • There will 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 450 maximum marks.
  • The question paper will be based on General Awareness and Current Affairs, Common Legal Knowledge, Aptitude and Mental Ability.
  • The question paper will also include two sets of MCQs on Language comprehension, one each in Hindi and English. The candidate cannot answer for both the sets. He/she has to choose one.
  • 3 marks will be given for each correct response and 1 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.

For BA LLB

  • There will be one Paper of 120 minutes duration.
  • There will 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 450 maximum marks.
  • The questions will be asked from General Awareness and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude and Mental Ability.
  • For each correct answer, 3 marks will be provided and for each wrong response, 1 marks will be deducted.
  • The Question Paper will also have multiple choice questions on English comprehension.

BHU Law 2018 Admit Card

All the candidates who have successfully registered themselves for BHU Law 2018 entrance exam will be able to download their admit cards from one week before the test date. The direct links to download the admit card will also be provided here whenever it will be available. E-mail/SMS alert regarding Admit Card will be sent on the email id/mobile phone number registered by the candidate. So, the aspirants are requested to provide the correct id and numbers. Candidates should note that it is mandatory to carry the admit card on the exam day along with aadhar card or any other id proof. The admit card should be preserved till the end of the admission process.

BHU Law 2018 Result

Candidates will be selected if he/she clears the minimum cut-off for the entrance test. Selection is purely merit based. The University reserves the right to fix minimum qualifying marks for different courses for the different categories. Prior to the results, answer key will also be released for the candidates to estimate their score. In the case of tie, preference will be given to the candidates who have higher aggregate percentage of marks at the Qualifying Examination. If the tie still persists, then the elder candidate will be given the priority. BHU Law 2018 Result will be released on 1st or 2nd week of June 2018. Your marks, merit and category wise merit will sent to you at the registered email id and mobile number.

BHU Law 2018 Admission Procedure

The candidate’s admission will be purely based on fulfilling the eligibility criteria, appearing in the exam and clearing the cut-off. Admission process also depends on the seat availability for different courses.  The admission will be done by the Admission Committees of the respective departments. Electronic call letters will also be issued by the head of the departments. Canddiates will be informed about the call letters through sms/emails and they can download their call letters accordingly through candidate login page.

BHU Law 2018 Counselling

All the counselling steps will be performed in a computerized manner. Firstly, you need to enter your online preference for the courses you want to take. Reach the counselling venue on the specified date. At this time you can discuss with the officials regarding the seats available for different courses, etc. After finalizing your decision, take the print out of the preference entry form. This form once signed by the candidate cannot be changed later. You need to pay the regular fee of the university (admission fees) at this time only. Candidates must submit the proof of payment of admission fee to the Counseling Centre/Venue Incharge latest by 04:00 pm on the next day of the Counseling.

  • Migration Certificate, if passed from a university other than BHU

  • Mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination
  • UET Admit Card issued from the office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate on the basis of which reserved quota seat is claimed
  • Certificate(s) in support of claim for ‘Sports Seats’
  • Certificate of being the son/daughter of a permanent in-service employee or Retired or Reemployed or Deceased employee of BHU in the prescribed format issued by the Central Registry

Important Instructions Regarding BHU Law 2018

Few important instructions to be kept in mind for all those candidates who are appearing for BHU Law 2018 are as follows:

  • Along with the admit card, aadhar card is must for all the candidates to be carried on the examination day but if someone have not been issued the aadhar card, then he/she should have passport number or ration card number or bank account number or any other valid government id number.
  • No aspirants will be allowed in the exam hall after 30 minutes of the commencement of the test.
  • You cannot leave the hall till the end of test.
  • There is no provision to provide a “writer‟ in the Entrance Test except for blind candidates.
  • Any type of electronic gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall.
  • No re-checking or re-evaluation of answer sheet of the entance exam is allowed in any case at any stage.
