50The All Indian Law Entrance Test (AILET 2020) is a national level entrance exam. It is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi every year for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. AILET is held on the first Sunday of May every year. AILET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Checking the Eligibility Criteria of AILET 2020 is important before applying for the exam because if the student applies for the exam without checking the eligibility criteria of AILET 2020, the student will become ineligible and thus they will not be eligible to appear for the exam. Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB Programme:

  1. The applicant must have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  2. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2019 are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for LLM Programme

  1. Those who are applying for this programme must have an LL.B. or an Equivalent Law Degree with 55% marks. For the candidates of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities category, the applicants must have scored 50% marks.
  2. The candidates appearing in final year LL.B. Examination in April/May 2019 can also apply.

Eligibility Criteria for  Ph.D.-Programme

  1. Applicant must have an LL.M. Degree with 55% aggregate Marks or its Equivalent. For the persons of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities categories, they should have scored 50% aggregate marks.

AILET 2020 Preparation Tips

Law is considered one of the respectable professions. Cracking the AILET 2020 is one way of entering this profession. Lakhs of students sit for this exam every year to secure a seat in the best law college. Hence it is required that the students prepare for this exam in a planned way. AILET 2020 Application Form

Filling the AILET 2020 Application Form is the next step to be completed after checking the eligibility criteria for the exam. It is the compulsory step which the candidates need to do without which they shall not be eligible to appear for the exam. The AILET 2020 Application Form will be available on the official website of NLU for the students.

The first step which the candidates have to do is to get themselves registered for the process. A registration form shall be available for the same. In it, the students will have to enter some details as asked in it. Through this process, the students will get the login details for filling the application form. In the next step, they will have to choose the college as National Law University from the Application-Locker. From here, they will have to choose the appropriate college and fill out all the details as mentioned in the form.

In the next step, they will be re-directed back to the application locker page from where they shall choose the payment method and pay the application fee. Only after making the payment, their application will be considered valid and complete. Hence they will get the admit card and appear for the examination.

AILET 2020 Application Fee

Students who are applying for AILET 2020 will have to pay an application fee to complete the process of applying for the exam. Without paying the fee, the student will not be eligible to appear for the exam. For AILET 2018, the application fee for different categories was as follows:

AILET 2020 Admit Card

AILET 2020 Admit Card will be released for those students who shall complete the application form along with the payment of the fee before the last date. It will be available online on the official website of NLU. The admit card of AILET 2020 shall contain various details such as the name, roll number, test venue details and the day and timings of the test.

The students shall bring the coloured printout of the admit card of AILET 2020 with them. Those who have registered themselves for the exam under the PWD category shall bring the disability certificate also along with them. One thing which they should check is that the photo of the candidate should be clear on the admit card, failing which they shall not be eligible to enter the exam hall and give the exam.

AILET 2020 Answer Key

The answer key of AILET 2020 is the most important document for the candidates who will be appearing for this exam. The answer key will be released separately for all the courses of AILET 2020 which include BA LLB Program, LLM Programme and PhD programme. The candidates need to ensure that they check and download the correct answer key.

Through the AILET 2020 Answer Key, the student can calculate their tentative marks in the examination. One thing which they should know is that the answer key will be a provisional answer key. It means that the students, if they find any error in the answers, can raise objections to this provisional answer key. The official body shall check all the challenges and after it will release the final answer key.

One important thing which the candidate must know is that they have to submit the challenges well before the last date.

AILET 2020 Result

AILET 2020 Result will be declared on the official website of NLU after the exam has been conducted. Only those students will be able to check their result who shall give the AILET 2020 Exam. It will be released for various categories. It is usually declared in the form of list containing the names of the candidates and the categories as follows:

BA LLB Hons:  The fee is divided into annual fees, one time fees and deposits.
