AILET 2018 Result / Merit List

NLU will announce result for AILET 2018 as per official schedule. The university will publish the details of the candidates along with the marks secured by the candidate in the entrance examination. You can check your result on NLU official site by entering your roll number and name.

Separate merit lists will be announced for each category like General, SC, ST, Person with Disability, Kashmiri Migrants, Resident of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the news report, more than 16,000 students appear for the entrance exam to compete for 83 seats in B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Five-year integrated program and 40 seats in the one-year LL.M program. Students who crack AILET will be eligible to pursue BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD degree programmes on a merit basis. The copy of the question booklet with answer key will also be uploaded on the university’s website.

The result will be published online in the pdf format by NLU, Delhi. You may check your status if you have qualified or not by searching your roll number or name in the list. After the results are announced NLU, Delhi issues admission letters to all those qualified students. Along with the AILET 2018 result, a merit list will also be published.

  3. Click on the category of result you want to check.
  4. The result will be available in pdf format along with the marks obtained
  5. Download and take print out of the result for future reference

AILET 2018 Tie Breaker

  1. If two or more candidates get the same percentage of marks in AILET 2018, their merit will be examined on the basis of percentage of marks at 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  2. If there is still a tie, then the marks of class 10th will be taken into consideration.
  3. If still there is a tie, then the candidate older in age shall get preference over the younger candidate.

NLU Admission Process

The admission in different courses will be on the basis of the rank secured by the candidate in the merit list. For Ph.D programme, candidates who have cleared UGC NET/JRF, SLET, and M.Phil. shall be exempted from taking the admission test. For B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) course, admission in 70 seats will be done through AILET 2018 merit list and 10 seats will be reserved for direct admission to Foreign Nationals. For admission in Ph.D programme, candidates have to clear the entrance exam and have to make an oral presentation before the doctoral committee.
